Patrick Galen Dempsey was born January 13, 1966, an American actor, known for his role as neurosurgeon in a medical drama Grey's Anatomy. He has appeared in several films and most notable of those are the: The Emperor's Club, Freedom Writers, Enchanted and Made of Honor.
Dempsey has been married twice, in 1987, with actress and acting coach Rocky Parker. Dempsey was 21 years old then, while Parker was 48, with a son who was one year Dempsey's senior. They divorced in 1994.
On 1999, Dempsey married Delux Beauty founder Jillian Fink. The couple have three children.
He is a car racer and co-owner of IndyCar Series team Vision Racing.
When his mother was diagnosed with ovarian cancer, treated and had relapsed, Dempsey founded and started The Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope and Healing, in response to her mother's fight for cancer.
